Units of Syrian army, Kurdish forces arrive in Tel Riffaart

DAMASCUS, Feb. 16 (MNA) – Press sources on the ground reported on Monday that troops of the Syrian Army and groups of Kurdish forces took the control of the strategic town of Tel Riffaart, in the northern province of Aleppo.

Testimonies published in the local press said Tel Riffaart is located at less than 12.4 miles of the border with Turkey and near the highway joining Syria with Turkey, habitually used by terrorist groups as a route for supply.

This way, and after the release of Menagh and its air base, by units of the Kurdish defense lines, traffic routes for the use of the terrorists are being cut, between Tel Riffaart and Azaz, a region that has been bombed by the Turkish artillery in the last hours.

At the south of both regions, just two miles to the south, the Syrian Army continues the attacks against members of the ISIL and the Al Nousra Front, among other groups, added the sources.
